Susheela (48), a resident of Vithura, Thiruvananthapuram, has tragically succumbed to fever following a two-day treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. Initially admitted to Vitura Hospital, Susheela’s condition worsened as her blood count dropped, prompting a transfer to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College.
With the rising number of dengue cases and other contagious diseases in the state, concerns persist regarding the insufficient resources available in government hospitals. Medical professionals have reported an alarming increase in rat fever, H1N1, and chickenpox cases, in addition to dengue.
