Thiruvananthapuram: The Kattakada Judicial First Class court has denied bail again to the accused in the Kattakada Christian College impersonation row. The court rejected bail for former SFI leader, Vyshak, and former Principal of the College, Shyju.

The prime accused SFI leader, Vyshak, surrendered to the investigation team only the other day. His surrender comes after the time for appearing before the investigating team had lapsed. It is believed that the former Principal of the college, GJ Shyju, will also surrender soon.

Earlier also, the court had rejected the bail applications of both the accused. The court had ordered that both of them must present themselves in front of the investigating team on July 4.

The court had observed that both the accused are faced with serious allegations and in the primary observation it is felt that the accused have behaved in an untruthful way.

SFI leader Vyshak’s name was on the University Union Counselors’ list that was sent from the college to the Kerala University. However, it was revealed that Vyshak did not even take part in the elections. The actual winner’s name was removed from the list and replaced with Vyshak’s name.

The Kerala University maintains that the Principal was responsible for putting the name of Vyshak on the list that he had sent it to the University.
