Thiruvananthapuram: A stray dog that bit four persons, including a three-year-old child, was found dead at Mangalamkonam at Balaramapuram in Thiruvananthapuram district. This has raised the fears of people living in the area.

The people living in the area had complained to the panchayat authorities many times about the stray dog menace in the area. However, the panchayat has still not taken any action against it.

The people are living in fear of stray dogs. Moreover, the panchayat hospital at Balaramapuram does not have vaccine against dog bite, which makes the situation grimmer.

The issue of stray dogs has been raging in the state for quite some time. Hundreds of cases of dog bites are being reported. Deaths are also occurring after being attacked by stray dogs. Recently a mute child was mauled to death near his house by stray dogs.
