Kannur: In Kannur’s Manjalampuram, an unfortunate incident of online shopping fraud has befallen a local housewife. Unbeknownst to her, she had recently made a purchase for a mobile phone priced at ₹7,299. However, upon receiving the package, she was shocked to discover a piece of wood resembling a mobile phone rather than the actual product she had ordered.
Quick to address the situation, she promptly contacted the customer care and delivery partners to arrange for the return of the fraudulent item. Regrettably, despite their assurance, there was no response even after a lapse of three days. Frustrated by the lack of action, the victim has taken the step of filing a complaint with the local authorities regarding this distressing incident.
