Thrissur: In a gesture of devotion and reverence, Durga Satalin, the wife of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin, is going to present a lavish gold crown worth over Rs. 24 lakh to Guruvayurappan, the deity of Guruvayur Temple. The ceremonial offering is scheduled to take place today, marking a significant event in the temple’s history.
Crafted by Coimbatore-based entrepreneur Sivagyanam, the meticulously designed gold crown boasts a weight of 32 sovereigns. This intricate piece of artistry was carefully tailored to perfection, with the sculptor taking precise measurements from the temple itself.
Accompanying this splendid offering, an essential sandalwood oil grinding machine will also be dedicated to the temple. The machine, worth 2 lakh rupees, was transported to Guruvayur yesterday evening. Notably, KM Ravindran, the proprietor of Thrissur Puthole RM Satyam Engineering, is the visionary behind the design of this unique machine, intended as a gift to Guruvayurappan.
