Thiruvananthapuram: Transwoman remanded for attempted child snatching from a father in an incident that occurred at Pazhavangadi. Benoy, alias Neetu Nair, from Nettayam got remanded to Malampuzha special jail.
On Sunday evening, the transwoman attempted to abduct a two-year-old boy and assaulted the father Prasad, a resident of Nalanchira. Subsequently, the Fort Police arrested Neetu in connection with the attempted kidnapping case.
Prasad sustained injuries in the assault. He and his family had came to watch the circus on Sunday. Prior to this incident, the police stated that previously Neetu had bitten off the ear of a flower shop worker in East Fort. No case was filed because no complaint was made regarding this incident. The police stated that Neetu, is a habitual troublemaker and exhibits violent behaviour, and also a heavy drug user.
