Pathanamthitta: Sabarimala Temple will open its doors today for the auspicious poojas taking place in the month of Chingam. The temple’s Melshanthi (Chief Priest), K Jayaraman Namboothiri, will open the temple doors at 5 pm, accompanied by Tantri Kandararu Mahesh Mohan. The poojas will continue until August 21, featuring daily rituals such as Udayasthamana Pooja, Padi Pooja, Kalabhabhishekam, and Pushpabhishekam. Devotees will also have the opportunity to attend Neyyabhishekam between 5.30 am and 9.30 am. A Laksharchana will also be performed in the presence of Lord Ayyappa tomorrow morning.

In anticipation of the influx of devotees for Malayalam New Year tomorrow, additional KSRTC buses will be operational in Pampa. A total of 40 buses have been organised for the Nilakkal-Pamba route service. Special services to Pampa will be available from various locations, including Chengannur, Pathanamthitta, Kumali, Kottarakkara, Kottayam, and Thiruvananthapuram.

Furthermore, 20 buses have been designated for Chengannur, 10 for Pathanamthitta, and five for Kumali to facilitate temple visits during the Malayalam month of Chingam. Travellers can also make reservations for the Pampa route at the Thiruvananthapuram depot.
