Pathanamthitta: DYFI leader accused of breaking into a pregnant 19-year-old’s home and committing sexual assault. In the town of Tiruvalla, located in Pathanamthitta, an unfortunate incident transpired, leading to the arrest of Shyam Kumar, the president of the Vaikathillam unit, by the local police.
Taking advantage of the absence of the woman’s husband, who had left for work, Shyam Kumar forcefully entered her residence. The Dalit woman, in her complaint, alleges that she was subsequently subjected to rape.
Following the incident, the woman lodged a complaint with the police. Afterwards, Shyam Kumar went absconding. However, he was apprehended during the subsequent investigation and taken into custody.
