Pathanamthitta : In anticipation of the joyous festival of Onam, the revered Sabarimala temple is set to open its doors for Onam poojas starting tomorrow. The temple grounds will be accessible at five in the evening, marking the commencement of the festive observances. As devotees gather to partake in the festivities, a series of significant rituals and ceremonies are scheduled to take place in the coming days.
Commencing with the Udayastamaya Pooja, the temple will resonate with devotion as Padipooja, Kalabhabhishekam, and Pushpabhishekam grace its sacred precincts until the 31st of this month.
Central to the Onam celebrations, the temple will embrace the spirit of the festival by serving special Onasadya to the devotees on four significant days. Uthradam, Thiruvonam, Avittam and Chadayam will witness the preparation of the sumptuous Onasadya, a traditional feast synonymous with the festive occasion. The temple, pulsating with spiritual fervor, will observe its closure on the night of the 31st.
