Kasaragod: The individual involved in a POCSO case, who had left the country while on bail, has now been arrested after a span of two years. Anto Chakochan, 28 years old and originally from Chittarikkal, was taken into custody in Mumbai. The arrest was executed by a team led by Ranjith Ravindran, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Chittarikkal.

Initially imprisoned for the molestation of a 13-year-old girl, the accused had secured release on bail. The accused but subsequently absconded, making his way to Nepal. There, he established a workshop using the alias Anoop Menon. However, Anto Chakochan was apprehended by law enforcement when he traveled from Nepal to Mumbai with the intention of obtaining a fraudulent passport under the fake identity.
