Kasaragode: SDPI Kanhangad Constituency President and Ambalathara resident Abdul Samad was arrested by Hosdurg Police in connection with the sandalwood smuggling case.
He was apprehended during a vehicle inspection at Mavunkal while attempting to smuggle sandalwood on a scooter. The accused had stood as an SDPI candidate in the Kanhangad constituency during the previous assembly elections.
