Body of man who allegedly stabbed his wife, found on railway tracks

Kochi: The body of Padmakumar, a native of Kottayam Vellore who allegedly stabbed his wife and later died on the railway tracks, was found. The lifeless body was discovered on the Ernakulam Mulanthuruthi railway tracks. The initial assumption of the police is suicide.

Last tuesday, Padmakumar assaulted his wife. Following a series of family disputes between the couple, he attacked his wife and escaped from Kottayam Thalayolaparambu. He was discovered deceased on the railway track while the search for Padmakumar was underway following his wife’s complaint. The wife, who was injured, is currently receiving medical treatment. The police have been informed that Padmakumar’s body has been transferred to Tripunithura Taluk Hospital.
