Thiruvananthapuram: Summer rain has reached Kerala last day and the Weather Department has informed rain that has been lashing in the northern parts of Kerala since last evening, will continue today too. Heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur at some parts of Malappuram.
Almost all parts of Kerala received heavy rains on Wednesday evening. Even though showers have lowered the mercury levels, temperature may go up to three degrees from the average level. State Disaster Management Authority has announced sun stroke alert.
The state has witnessed a major crisis as the summer rain reached late this time. Records show a decrease of 75 percentage of summer rain this year. As a result,in many districts temperature raised over 40 degree Celsius.
