Ernakulam: Four members of a family have died in Kadamakudy. Nijo (39) a native of Kadamakudy, his wife Shilpa (32) and their children Abel (7) and Aaron (5) are the deceased. The Preliminary conclusion of the police is suicide.
The incident happened this morning. Nijo and Shilpa were hanging themselves after poisoning their children. Nijo was a construction worker in Kadamakudy itself. Shilpa has been working abroad for years. Then last day, Shilpa came home from abroad for a vacation. Police suspect that he committed suicide due to financial crisis.
At present, police inquest proceedings are being completed at the house in Kadamakudy. All four bodies were shifted to Paravur Taluk Hospital. The bodies will be handed over to the relatives after post-mortem. The police have started a detailed investigation into the incident.
