Palakkad: In a disturbing incident, a train travelling from Thiruvananthapuram to Delhi, identified as the Kerala Express, became the target of anti-social elements that pelted stones near the Ottappalam railway station last night.
The attack resulted in the shattering of window panes in the B3 coach of the train. This is not an isolated incident, as several similar attacks have occurred in the state in recent months, raising serious security issues.
Prior to this incident, various trains, including the Vandebharat, Rajdhani Express, and Venad Express, fell victim to stone-pelting attacks. In the month of August, Vandebharat experienced a similar attack, leading to the breaking of train windows and posing a significant risk to passenger safety.
