Kozhikkode: Motor Vehicle Department has conducted inspection in inter state buses and found out numerous misappropriations. MVD has imposed a sum of 3.74 lakh rupees as fine. Motor Vehicle Department has formed ‘Operation Night riders’ to check the malpractices of private buses.
The inspection team also evaluates the facilities provided for passengers, the background of employees and if there is any security issues.
Meantime, Kerala Luxury Bus Operators Association has informed that they are planning to stop bus services from Kozhikkode as protest against the frequent inspection of the authorities.
