Ernakulam: Police in Fort Kochi imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on a luxury car that entered Kerala without proper documentation and a number plate. The vehicle was seized on August 1st, leaving officers astonished at its journey across three states without any required documents. A total fine of Rs 1,03,300 was imposed on the car that day.
The car, starting from Karnataka and passing through Tamil Nadu, entered Kerala. The driver, Rafmatullah, hailing from Udupi, was arrested by the police for violation of law. The car’s entry into Kerala from Tamil Nadu left officials perplexed, given the presence of AI cameras at various checkpoints along the national highway.
Notably, the vehicle lacked both a number plate and insurance coverage. In addition to the driver, two other people were present in the car. They were arrested along with the driver but was later released on bail.
