Ernakulam: In a significant development, Ernakulam Central Police have issued a lookout notice against popular vlogger Shakir Subhan, also known as ‘Mallu Traveler’, in response to a sexual harassment complaint filed by a Saudi woman. According to the complaint, Shakir Subhan attempted to sexually assault the woman during her stay at a hotel in Ernakulam.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred on September 13. The allegation is that Shakir Subhan used explicit language at the hotel and attempted to engage in sexual activity. The complaint mentions that the Saudi Womam woman, who has been residing in Kochi for an extended period, visited Shakir ‘s room for an interview.
In response to the complaint, authorities have taken swift action by registering a case against Shakir Subhan for the alleged sexual harassment incident. However, the vlogger is currently abroad, and there are concerns that he may not return to the country in the near future.
Law enforcement officials initially indicated that action against Shakir Subhan would be taken upon his return to India. The Kochi Central Police had planned to summon him for questioning once he was back on home soil. However, given the uncertainty surrounding his return, a lookout notice has now been issued to ensure that he is apprehended and brought to justice should he attempt to evade the investigation.
