Thiruvananthapuram: The cricket fever is soaring high in Kerala as the cricket World Cup teams are set to arrive in the state for a series of warm-up matches in preparation for the upcoming tournament. The Karyavattom Greenfield Stadium is all set to host these practice games, and the anticipation among cricket enthusiasts is palpable.
The teams’ schedules for arrival are as follows:
Team South Africa is leading the charge with their arrival at the capital’s airport from Dubai today. Afghanistan will touch down in Thiruvananthapuram on the 26th, Australia and the Netherlands teams will arrive on the 28th, and New Zealand is expected on the 30th. The Indian cricket team will make their entrance on October 1.
The teams will be accommodated in various luxury hotels across Kerala. India, Australia, and South Africa will call Leela Kovalam Raviz hotel their temporary home, while the New Zealand and Afghanistan teams will stay at the Hyatt regency Trivandrum, and the Netherlands team will be hosted at the Taj Vivanta Trivandrum.
Cricket enthusiasts and fans of the participating teams can look forward to thrilling encounters at the Karyavattom Greenfield Stadium during these warm-up matches.
The warm-up matches are set to kick off on September 29th, offering fans a sneak peek into the teams’ form and strategies ahead of the main tournament. The schedule for the warm-up matches is as follows:
