Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced a change in the uniforms worn by its employees. After a decade of sporting the familiar blue shirts and pants, KSRTC personnel will soon adopt khaki as their new standard uniform.
KSRTC has decided to provide the new uniforms to its employees free of charge. Efforts are underway to expedite the distribution process, with KSRTC authorities striving to complete the uniform rollout within the span of two months.
The fabric for the new khaki uniforms has been sourced from the National Textiles Corporation Limited. An allocation of Rs 3 crore has been earmarked for the distribution of these new uniforms.
There will be no alterations to the uniforms worn by Swift Bus staff. Additionally, employees in the mechanical department will continue to wear the current blue uniforms.
