Thiruvananthapuram: Health Minister Veena George’s office is under suspicion following allegations of bribery in the appointment of a medical officer. However, the timing of the complaint has raised suspicions. Despite the Minister’s office being informed about these allegations by Basit, a friend of Haridasan, on August 17, it wasn’t until September 23 that a formal complaint was filed by Akhil Mathew, a member of the Minister’s personal staff. This delay in the complaint has raised questions and suspicions about the matter.
Haridasan filed a written complaint on the 13th of this month. The minister herself confirmed in a press conference the other day that such a complaint had been received. However, the written complaint, received through postal means, has not yet been forwarded to the police, raising suspicions and concerns.
The minister, in her press conference, asserted that the personal staff had no role in the alleged incident. Nevertheless, the written complaint by Haridasan has not been forwarded to the police, citing a lack of credibility in Haridasan’s claims. The ongoing investigation is solely focused on the complaint filed by Akhil Mathew.
