Kollam: A worshipper caught attention by presenting 101 bottles of foreign liquor at the Poruvazhy Peruviruthy Malanada Duryodhana Temple in Kollam. The devotee showcased a variety of large bottles containing different brands of liquor, intending for these offerings to be given freely to fellow worshippers who visit the temple.
The liquor will be distributed to worshippers approaching the temple’s administrative committee.
The Malanada Duryodhana Temple is unique as the only Duryodhana temple in South Kerala. This is a temple that is completely different in its rituals. Dravidian tradition still prevails here. The main offerings in the temple are toddy, pan, chicken, etc.
It is considered auspicious to offer toddy in front of Malayapuppan to achieve specific goals. As part of this, the devotee offered 101 bottles of foreign liquor. Liquors of different brands in small and big bottles were presented at the temple.
