Sreekumaran Thampi receives 47th Vayalar Award for his autobiography ‘Jeevitham Oru Pendulum’

Thiruvanathapuram: Lyricist Sreekumaran Thampi has been awarded the Vayalar Ramavarma Sahitya Award for his autobiographical work, ‘Jeevitham Oru Pendulum.’ This book offers readers a captivating glimpse into the life of Sukumaran Thampi and provides an authentic portrayal of the period in which he lived.

The Vayalar Award, presented by the Vayalar Ramavarma Memorial Trust in tribute to Malayalam’s eminent poet and lyricist, Vayalar, recognizes outstanding literary contributions in the Malayalam language. The award includes a cash prize of Rs. 5,000, a memento, and a commendation. Notably, the inaugural Vayalar Award was presented to the renowned Lalithambika Antharjanam.
