Kerala coming back to normalcy,rescue operations progressing

Thiruvananthapuram:  After days long rains,floods,landslides and havoc,the state is facing numerous issues including broken roads,damaged houses and waterlogged surroundings.Rescue operations are underway.Around seven and a half lakhs people are staying in relief camps. Careful precautionary measures are being taken to face epidemics.

Chengannur, one of the worst affected area, is still not recovered from the aftermath of heavy rains and floods. More than hundred people are still trapped. Small boats are also involved in relief works. Relief camps from Kuttanad have been shifted to Alappuzha. Vaikom,Kumarakom regions are still under dilemma.

Nelliyampathy has been stranded,helicopters carry medicines and other required materials to distribute in the area. Rescue and relief operations are continuing in Thrissur. Lower regions in Chalakkudy,Irinjalakkuda,Thriprayar are badly suffering  waterlogging. Cleaning activities are progressing. Rail road transportation is reinstating and trains are expected to be in scheduled timings later this day.
