Tragic incident unfolds as young man jumps into river from Karuvannur Bridge

Thrissur: A young man plunged into the river from the Karuvannur Bridge at around seven o’clock this morning. Despite efforts from locals and emergency services, the strong river flow has hindered the search, and the young man remains unaccounted for.

The young man had already drowned when locals rushed to the scene. A yellow bicycle lay on the footpath of the bridge. Firefighters and police promptly arrived, initiating a search for the missing youth.

Relatives have identified the young man as Disola (32), son of Jose, hailing from Thrissur. He is reportedly married and is also father of one child.
