Alappuzha: Union Minister of State, V Muraleedharan, has announced that the Railways is on the verge of declaring a stop for the Vande Bharat Express at Chengannur. Previously, stops were sanctioned for the second Vande Bharat Express at Alappuzha, Malappuram, and Tirur, locations where the first Vande Bharat Express was not permitted to halt.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has assured that the matter will be considered.
V Muraleedharan expressed optimism during a media interaction in Chengannur, stating that there is a high possibility for an official announcement from the railway department soon, allowing Vande Bharat Express to make a stop at Chengannur.
