PALAKKAD: Missing Nenmara Panchayat Assistant Secretary, Zubair Ali, has been found. He was found from Madurai, Tamil Nadu.

Zubair Ali contacted his colleagues over the phone and informed them that he had been threatened by the CPI(M) area secretary and other CPI(M) members. He also wrote a suicide note in which he mentioned these threats.

Zubair added that the Panchayat Councillor had filed a false complaint, alleging that Zubair had insulted him by using caste-name. In response to this false accusation, he was deeply hurt and decided to commit suicide.

He had been missing since yesterday due to threats from CPI(M) activists. A strike was organized by CPI(M) activists on October 4, which resulted in a dispute between party members and Zubair. Subsequently, the Panchayat Councillor lodged a false complaint against him.

Zubair Ali stated that the mental stress caused by these events had pushed him to commit suicide.
