Idukki: A Task Force in Moonar successfully recovered illegal encroachments in the Anayirankal-Chinnakanal region of Idukki. The operation resulted in the reclamation of 5 acres of land that had been encroached upon for cardamom cultivation by Tiju Anikkottathil. This encroachment had been deemed illegal by both the Revenue Department and the court.

This proactive action by the Task Force came in response to a directive from the High Court mandating the removal of illegal encroachments. The recovery process is currently underway, led by a collaborative effort between the Revenue Department and the local police.

As part of this action, the Revenue Department has established a demarcation board on the property and sealed off the residence situated within the encroached area. Notably, the house had been occupied by several migrant workers who were residing on the illegally occupied land.
