PATHANAMTHITTA: A family that was attacked by microfinance company’s goons has filed a complaint against the police. Yesterday, a gang of goons associated with JMJ Finance assaulted the home of Mani, a resident of Kalleli in Karunagappally, located in the Pathanamthitta district. Both Mani’s husband and daughter sustained injuries during the attack.

It has been revealed that the goons were hired by JMJ Finance to target someone who had delayed loan repayment. However, the assaulters mistakenly targeted Mani’s residence. During the assault, Mani’s husband sustained a severe head injury, and her daughter was also injured.

Despite filing a complaint, the police have not taken any necessary action against. The accused were apprehended by local residents but were subsequently released without charging any actions. The family also alleges that the owners of the finance company are attempting to reach a compromise in the case.

Meanwhile, local residents have complained that financiers employ enforcers to threaten individuals who are facing delays in repayment, and even in such cases, the police do not take action.
