Thereby, the market price for 22ct gold stands at Rs 5,680 for 1 gram, and 1 sovereign is now valued at Rs 45,440 in Kerala.
There has been a slight increase in the price of silver, with one gram now costing Rs 78, while hallmarked silver is priced at Rs 103.
The recent Israel-Hamas conflict is contributing to fluctuations in international gold prices, which are also being reflected in Kerala.
