Kozhikode: Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) employees find themselves in a difficult situation as they grapple with the delay in receiving their salaries. The second installment of their September moth salary is yet to be disbursed by the end of October, leaving workers struggling to meet their daily expenses and prompting many KSRTC employees to request leaves of absence due to financial difficulties.
Despite assurances from the Chief Minister and the Finance Minister that, Rs 50 crore would be allocated each month, only Rs 30 crore was disbursed for several months.
The financial department is blaming the management for its inability to overcome the losses, despite numerous attempts. Simultaneously, the management is shifting blame onto the trade unions.
There are disputes between management, the financial department, and trade unions but, the employees are focused on consistent pay, and they want salary issues resolved and paid on time without interruptions.
