KOLLAM: Salim Musaliyar (49), a resident of Peringala in Kayamkulam, Kollam district, has been arrested for assaulting a young woman who sought medical treatment.
According to the police reports, the incident occurred when there was no one else present at the residence. The young woman was called under the false pretense of receiving treatment and was subsequently assaulted.
Following the victim’s complaint, the Kayamkulam police promptly initiated legal action against the accused. A team led by Sub-Inspector Muhammad Shafi successfully apprehended the suspect. Subsequently, the accused was presented in the Kayamkulam court and has been remanded into custody pending further proceedings.
