Thiruvananthapuram: Three people were arrested for throwing local bombs on houses and vehicles at Perumathura, Thiruvananthapuram. Akash, Abdul Rahman and Safir, who are natives of Attingal, were the ones arrested. They are accused in many cases. It is still not clear why the accused carried out such an attack. The youths are reported to be selling drugs in the area. It is suspected that the drug lobby is behind the attack. The attack occurred at around 10:30 PM last night.

A three-member gang that reached Madanvila, Perumathura by car at around 10:30 PM last night, threw local bombs at houses and vehicles there. Two youths namely Arshit and Hussain, natives of Madanvila, were injured in the attack. They were immediately shifted to Chirayinkeezhu Taluk Hospital and later to Medical College Hospital. The attack caused damage to houses and vehicles in the vicinity.

It is reported that the local residents had an argument with a group of outsiders who arrived there last afternoon. In response to this altercation, Akash, Abdul Rehman, and Safir carried out the bombing later that night. They are facing charges for throwing bombs and creating an atmosphere of terror. The Kadinamkulam police are probing the information from where the accused got the bombs. The police conducted evidence collection, with the accused, at the scene of the incident.
