Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has issued a cautionary message to all induction cooker users, highlighting the potential drawbacks of this popular kitchen appliance. While induction cookers have become a kitchen staple for many households, KSEB advises caution when using them.
In a recent notification, KSEB pointed out that prolonged usage of induction cookers can significantly contribute to higher electricity consumption. It was revealed that operating an induction cooker for an extended period can consume between 1.5 to 2 units of electricity per hour, given their power ratings, which typically range from 1,500 to 2,000 watts. This can lead to a noticeable increase in your electricity bills, as per KSEB’s assessment.
KSEB has taken the initiative to share useful guidelines for efficient usage of induction cookers through a Facebook post, aiming to help users minimize their energy consumption and reduce electricity costs.
