Ernakulam: The Kerala High Court has criticised the Chief Secretary in a contempt of court petition pertaining to the distribution of Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) pension. Despite being directed to appear before the court, the Chief Secretary did not attend and instead he was engagement in the Keraleeyam programme as the reason for his absence. The Chief Secretary informed the court that he couldn’t appear on court due to prior commitments related to the Keraleeyam programme.
Justice Devan Ramachandran delivered a stern critique on the Chief Secretary’s behavior. Additionally, the court expressed dissatisfaction with the affidavit submitted by the Chief Secretary. Consequently, the hearing for the petition has been rescheduled for Wednesday .
