Malappuram: A fire broke out at the ABC paint shop in Venniyour in Malappuram around 11 am today. The incident, which occurred on Sunday when the shop was closed, resulted in injuries to four individuals. They jumped from the building, witnessing the fire. The injured were shifted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
The shop was not open as it was Sunday. The migrant labourers, who were the employees of the shop, were living on the top floor of the shop. When they saw smoke rising from the shop, the four jumped down to escape. The police said that the cause of the fire is not clear and that further investigation is required. The fire brigade has reached the spot and is continuing to put out the fire.
