Body of the missing youth recovered from Meenanthara River

Kottayam: The lifeless body of the young man who had gone missing in the Meenanthara River has been recovered. The deceased, identified as Joyal, a resident of Kanjirappally, had come to a relative’s residence to partake in a wedding celebration. While enjoying a bath with friends at Elipulikkattu, Joyal was swept away by the river’s strong current. Swift action was taken as his friends promptly alerted local authorities. Following a joint search effort involving the fire brigade, locals, and the police, Joyal’s body was located. Subsequently, the body was transferred to Kottayam Medical College.
