Ernakulam: In a significant operation at Nedumbassery International Airport, authorities seized gold worth Rs 34 lakh and arrested a woman attempting to smuggle it through the Green Channel.
The arrested individual, identified as Sally from Kannur, was apprehended upon her arrival at Nedumbassery airport from Italy via Doha. Customs officials discovered the illicit goods cleverly concealed in the form of a ring inside a cream container. The seized contraband includes four bangles weighing a total of 640 grams.
