Thiruvananthapuram: A first-year student ,named Anoop, was brutally attacked by a group of more than 20 senior students at Neyyattinkara Polytechnic College. The police have registered a case against the accused seniors based on the complaint lodged by the principal. The incident happened on November 14.
The victim, Anoop, has sustained serious injuries, including in his private parts, and is currently undergoing treatment at an Ayurvedic hospital. The incident has led to the suspension of senior students Ebin, Adityan, Anandu, and Kiran.
Notably, the police have also registered a case against approximately 20 individuals who were involved in the attack. All the accused are reported to be active members of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI).
Anoop’s family is reportedly hesitant to make a public response, expressing concerns about political threats. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
