Pathanamthitta: KSRTC buses operating to Sabarimala have received a stern warning against decorating buses, as issued by the Pampa Special Officer. The directive emphasizes that strict action will be taken if buses bound for Sabarimala are adorned in any manner. Furthermore, the Pampa Special Officer has made it clear that depot authorities may face consequences under the Contempt of Court Act if violations occur.
This warning follows a previous High Court order stating that KSRTC buses heading to Sabarimala should not be decorated, citing safety norms. The court order emphasizes that severe action will be taken against decorated vehicles failing to comply with the High Court’s orders, and fines will be imposed for any violations of the law.
The High Court’s directive also emphasised the strict implementation of previous orders. However, despite these instructions, there have been cases of decorated vehicles arriving in violation of the court’s orders. In response to this ongoing issue, the Pampa Special Officer has given clear and strict instructions to deal with the situation.
