Kochi: Justice Devan Ramachandran of the High Court of Kerala, expressed deep disappointment over the deplorable condition of roads in Kochi, stating that the court itself feels ashamed to discuss the issue. The court sarcastically remarked that it seems the destiny of the people is to endure all challenges in the road, suggesting cynically that it might take 200 years for the situation to improve.
The High Court warned officials against assuming a peaceful retirement if further accidents occur on the dilapidated roads. Justice Ramachandran highlighted the urgency of the matter by pointing out that ministers themselves use these roads and urging them to experience firsthand the challenges faced by common citizens.
