State Bank of India announces 8540 vacancies for Junior Associate positions

Thiruvananthapuram: The State Bank of India (SBI) has revealed numerous job openings for the position of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in the Clerical Cadre. The total vacancies stand at 8540, and interested candidates have the opportunity to apply online until December 7th.

For applicants in Kerala, there are 58 vacancies, which also include backlog positions. Candidates can apply for positions in one state only, and it is essential to possess proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the language of the selected state. The salary range for the junior associate positions is from Rs. 17,900 to Rs. 47,920.

The selection process for the State Bank of India’s junior associate positions is as follows:

Aspiring candidates for the State Bank of India’s Junior Associate positions must hold a graduation degree to meet the eligibility requirements by December 31st.

In terms of age, applicants should fall within the range of 20 to 28 years old as of April 1, 2023. Specific age relaxations have been established for various categories, such as 5 years of relaxation for the Scheduled Category, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for differently abled candidates. Additional relaxations are extended to ex-servicemen.

The selection process comprises both preliminary and main exams, both conducted online. The preliminary examination, set for January, will consist of 100 objective questions covering English, numerical ability, and reasoning.

The examination centres in Kerala include Kannur, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Palakkad, Thrissur, Kochi, Kottayam, Idukki, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram.

Moving on to the main exam scheduled for February, the objective format will be maintained, and it will include a local language test. However, candidates possessing a certificate or mark sheet demonstrating proficiency in the local language up to class 10/12 are exempt from this particular requirement.

Candidates who are selected will undergo a six-month training period, during which they will receive hands-on training for their roles in the organization.

Application Details:

Fee: The application fee is Rs 750, to be paid online. However, applicants falling under the Scheduled Castes, Ex-Servicemen, and Differently Abled categories are exempt from the application fee.
