Ernakulam: Former Finance Minister Thomas Isaac has lodged an appeal against the recent interim order issued by a single bench of High Court, which permitted the issuance of summons in the KIIFB Masala bond case. The appeal has been submitted to the division bench of the High Court. Isaac argues that the authorization for summons was granted without adequate justification and seeks the annulment of the single bench’s interim order on this matter.
The division bench of the High Court, led by the Chief Justice, is scheduled to hear the appeal tomorrow. The High Court had previously granted the Enforcement Directorate (ED) permission to summon Thomas Isaac through an interim order. This decision involved a modification of the earlier interim order, which refrained from sending the summons order to Thomas Isaac.
