Kannur: A complaint intended to be given to the Chief Minister during the Nava Kerala Sadas has been handed over to the health department. The complaint, concerning financial support for individuals with kidney disease, was mistakenly forwarded to another department. This complaint was lodged by PP Krishnan, Chairman of All Kerala Kidney Care, in Kannur.
The complaint revolves around the plan to provide Rs 1,000 per week to dialysis patients. It was highlighted in the complaint to the Chief Minister that although the funds are intended for patients, they are being deposited into hospital accounts instead of directly crediting the respective patients’ accounts.
The project was started by the local department in 2022 but failed to be effectively implemented. The response received from the Nava Kerala Sadas states that the complaint has been forwarded to the health department for their consideration.
At the same time, complaints have been exchanged between departments and have reached the Kannur Corporation. These complaints were returned yesterday.
