Pathanamthitta: C Ranjith, a member of the Thalavoor Grama Panchayat, expressed his defiance towards the Chief Minister in a unique manner by covering his entire body in white paint. This distinct way of protest precedes the Nava Kerala Sadas scheduled to take place in Pathanapuram today.
Ranjith says that God has created him with black skin and he usually wears black coloured outfits. But his Chief Minister or the king, according to Ranjith, does not like black colour and that is why he painted his body all over in white paint. He said that he did this not as a protest, but because of his desire to live harmoniously in Kerala.
Ranjith is already popular for his strange protest against the constant power outages in his ward. He created inconvenience to KSEB officials by giving them a payment of Rs 7000 in coins as the bill for nine consumers in his ward. Ranjith represents Thalavoor Randalummoodu ward where power outages are common.
