Kozhikode: Governor Arif Muhammed Khan is gearing up to take strict actions against Calicut University Vice Chancellor MK Jayaraj. This action is prompted by the failure to remove banners by the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) against the Governor, despite explicit instructions given to the VC. Reports suggest that legal proceedings have been initiated by the Governor, who also serves as the university’s chancellor, in response to this defiance.
Meanwhile, Governor Arif Mohammed Khan is scheduled to participate in an evening seminar at Calicut University. The Governor is slated to address the gathering on the theme “Sree Narayana Guru – Prophet of Renaissance.” Organized by Calicut University Sanathanadharma Peethom and Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram, the seminar is taking place within the university campus under heightened police security due to the ongoing protests by SFI activists against the Governor.
