Kannur: Dharmadom, the constituency of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, has been retained by BJP in election held for local self Governments. BJP has retained its seat at Dharmadom Panchayat’s ninth ward, Kizhakke Palayad colony. LDF is in the third position.
BJP candidate Divya Chellath got 474 votes, winning by a majority of 56 votes.
Meantime, apart from Dharmadom, BJP has won by elections in 13 districts.This includes Palakkad Malampuzha,Thiruvananthapuram Maranallur Panchayaths and Thodupuzha,Cherthala Municipalities.
