Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has initiated online bus ticket booking through Google Pay and other UPI payment applications. The trial, starting today, will first be implemented for 90 city circular services and point-to-point routes operated by Swift buses in Thiruvananthapuram district.
Chalo Mobility Private Limited Company is providing this online ticketing system for KSRTC. Passengers can purchase tickets using various payment methods, including UPI, debit or credit cards, ChaloPay, and Wallet on the Chalo app.
The Chalo app not only facilitates ticket purchases but also allows passengers to track the live location of the buses. The services require an additional charge of only 13.7 paise plus GST per ticket. During the trial phase, any deficiencies or anomalies identified will be resolved. The official implementation of the online ticket booking system will be started only after successfully completing the trial period.
