Kottayam: Union Minister V Muraleedharan has criticised the Minister of Culture, Saji Cherian, labelling him as the “most uncultured person in Kerala.” Muraleedharan asserts that it is the Marxist party’s general policy to allow Saji Cherian, who insulted Christian church leadership, to retain his cabinet position. The Union Minister blamed the Pinarayi Vijayan government’s approach, considering any display of hooliganism as progress.
In a mocking tone, Muraleedharan says that insulting people appears to be a qualification for a cabinet position in the Pinarayi Vijayan government. He questioned critics of the Prime Minister’s feast, challenging them to find out how many Christian leaders, invited to the Nava Kerala Sadas journey, raised concerns with the Chief Minister about the decline in rubber prices.
The Union Minister expressed these views during his return from a visit to Perunna, where he participated in the birth anniversary celebrations of community leader and social reformer Mannathu Padmanabhan Pillai.
