ERNAKULAM: There are reports of mistreatment and physical assault of junior artists working on Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran’s film ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil.’ The movie is directed by Vipin Das.

Complaints have surfaced regarding bouncers using drugs on the shooting locations and exhibiting aggressive behaviuor. The shooting is presently taking place at the ‘Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT)’ compound in Kalamassery, Ernakulam district.

Junior artists have complained about bouncers restricting their access to food and toilets. Yesterday, a bouncer at the location hit a junior artist by a stone. When some artists questioned this, they were attacked in response.

Despite complaints, the police have not taken any action. Prithviraj, the actor and producer of the film, has yet to respond to these allegations.

The junior artists further claim that the bouncers take photos of those who react and share them on social media to defame them. Bouncers also told junior artists not to come for shooting starting today.

Additionally, the junior artists highlighted their continuous work on the set for the past 12 days without a break, even on Christmas, which they claim constitutes a violation of the human rights.

Amid these claims, the junior artists have accused the police of negligence, alleging that no action is being taken due to bribery.
